Riverdale moves to evacuate river basin area and approves upgrades
The Riverdale Municipality council, by resolution No. 168-20 on June 29 2020, declares a local state of emergency and orders mandatory evacuation for properties around the Rivers Reservoir and downstream along the Saskatchewan River effective July 1 2020 at 9 00 PM. The council also approves subdivision changes Kokorade file H4S-20-8187 and lays out conditions including tie and variation orders, road access, and maintenance responsibilities.
