Rapid City council acts on zoning and finances
The Rapid City council approved a gravel pit conditional use order in zone Ag at 2-14-19, extended a non farm dwelling permit for Sims Forbes to March 11 2016, and accepted Clint Moffat and Sons bid for Ward 1 road repairs at 21 238. They enforce the property standards bylaw and will pursue compliance. Donna Anderson was appointed to the LUD seat after no nominations.

Council awards road tenders and grants in Oakview area
The Oakview council accepted bids for Ward 2 and Ward 3 road repairs from Moffat Gill Farms and Zenith Paving totaling 119,? thousand dollars with work due by late August and mid September. A $500 prize was approved for Minnedosa entrepreneurs while Oak River athletes received $125 each for out of province events. Grants of 18,457.08 and Growing Forward 2 were received. By activity, accounts totaling 167,878.53 and unpaid invoices 83,891.77 were approved for payment.
