NER Kelly & Company excel as highway pilots by gesore pen. Kelly Marzott, from Inglis district north of Russell Man., built K C Pilot Truck Service in Rapid City. From one half-ton in 2002, to a 16-truck Dodge fleet with 15 full time and five part time drivers, all piloting with licences after Swift Current training. The firm guides heavy loads from 10 to 150 feet long, across Canada and the United States, using up to three trucks for wide or tall shipments. Drivers stay in radio contact, nights on road occasionally, with motel costs absorbed by K C. One pilot driver is Loma Hodgins of Rapid City who camps at Rivers Park in summer and polices the road with others in K C.
