Rivers Comets Baseball Club Creates Community Diamond
The Rivers Comets formed from Brandon players to bring senior baseball back to Rivers after two decades. They built a new diamond, later named Nutrien Field, with support from Rivers community groups and grants. The team moved to the Southwest League in 2017 and won the inaugural Senior A Provincial Championship at Comet Field in August.
