Caledonian Games Bring Quirky Events To Kenton Park
Westman Scottish Association hosted its eighth Caledonian Games at Kenton ballpark with a pipe band parade and dancing. Competitors including Alastair Hall and Malcolm McHarg won porridge and haggis toss events, while Gordon Gentles defended the long-running sheaf title. A later CN update announced Rivers rail work as part of a $46 million plan, including a new concrete deck and a 24 hour line closure on August 5.
