Rivers Police funding row in Manitoba Hansard
In a Manitoba Hansard transcript MLA Leanne Rowat questions funding for Rivers Police Service. Minister Andrew Swan notes Rivers has three officers and supports community policing while funds go to six other communities with RCMP contracts. He cites crime levels and invites proposals for future investments. Rowat accuses the government of political games. Swan defends record and reiterates investments across the province.
