Justice certifies Wheat Board class action in Manitoba
On April 5, 2022 Justice Martin of the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench certified a class action by Manitoba farmer An against the Government of Canada and G3 Canada Ltd over alleged misfeasance in privatization of the Canadian Wheat Board. The suit seeks $10 million in punitive damages and answers on fund handling affecting farmers from 2010/11 and 2011/12.
