Oak River ladies bonspiel results

Oak River held its annual ladies curling bonspiel April 1-3 with 16 rinks. Winning rink members were Penny Froese Vianne Campbell Susan Heapy and Donna Hume. Ivy Heapy Janice Heapy and others earned second third and fourth in multiple events. Adoption Act changes raise fees for some services at Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba.

MRHA Updates and Health District Transitions Discussed

The March meeting reviewed a 304 737 deficit from the CFO statement and audited statements for 1997 and 1998 to be mailed to chairs of former health boards. Orders will dissolve former districts after title transfers. EL-16 policy on DHACs approved. Michelle Clark named communications officer effective April 12. An Aboriginal Health Advisory Council will be formed with a dedicated committee. Brandon RHA and Carberry and Marquette projects discussed with cost-saving steps and a credit adjustment finalized.
