Chamber promotes Rivers town image and events
Trefor Gates led a Chamber of Commerce meeting at Lee's Restaurant on March 30. New member Crystal Bourdin joined as Rivers Nursery School vice-president. Topics included removing damaged highway signs, reviving town promotion, a May town-wide yard sale, a paid website plan, and a Chamber maintained site. Librarian Dora Irvine reported Prairie Crocus Library activity. Bryce Ewasiuk named Manitoba Youth Job Centre manager for Forrest. Happy Days in July discussed with location changes, and Home and Craft Show needs volunteers plus a $200 incentive. Dora pushed for a Rivers history book funding and possible public displays to boost sales.
