Prayer Walk in Rivers Draws Faithful and Public Attention
A Good Friday prayer walk organized by Rivers Ministerial Association drew 35 participants and two dogs, tracing an 80 minute route from Rivers Collegiate to Rivers Baptist Church with eight stops. Volunteers read Scripture at ten stops, sang hymns, and offered prayers for council, teachers, healthcare workers, and churches. Two walkers carried crosses with thorn crowns fashioned from hawthorn, recalling the crown of thorns worn by Jesus.
