Revelstoke Association Formed At Public Meeting
Last Thursday a gathering in the council chamber formed the Revelstoke Branch of the Provincial Mining Association under the auspices of the Board of Trade. About thirty gentlemen attended and a committee was set to solicit names for membership and report at a later meeting in the opera house on Monday the 2nd. At the adjourned Monday session a broad- based assembly elected officers and delegates to the Victoria convention on the 25th. Mayor O'Brien chaired with H. Floyd as secretary. Proxies from M. K. Lamb were noted, with Wells, Scott, Haggen, Kellie, Johnson, and others enabled to attend. The delegates named include E. A. Haggen, G. McCarter, J. Me Scott, A. Johnson, and W. M. Brown. The committee to enroll members and subscriptions was confirmed, with authority to expand. The chair and secretary were thanked, and the meeting adjourned.

A Nakusp correspondent claims the Galliher three masted schooner Hoodoo lies in Nakusp harbor manned by a crew tied to Walker Gooderham Seagram and the Revelstoke Liberal club with Corby’s club absent. The letter lists a motley crew of locals from Burton or Revelstoke including a Klondiker, a fruit picker, two hotel men, two prospectors, two railroad officials, four tin horn men and a grub destroyer, asserting no Nakusp Liberals are employed and hinting at political bias in Ottawa.

Big Bend district shows large ore showings in BC mines
The Big Bend district hosts substantial gold silver and copper prospects. In Standard Basin a likely vast copper ore showings under development by Prince Mining Co. appear permanent with rising values with depth. Ground Hog basin yields very rich free gold samples unmatched by Fish Creek ore. Key Stone Mountain Downie creek and Laforme creek host large galena and arsenical ore with gold silver copper. The Adair Mining and Development Co operates on the Adair group with notable galena and metal values.
