A case of considerable interest, said to be the only case of its kind in Canada, was tried before A. Ssindon Jr. on Saturday evening, Geo. S. Thompson acting as prosecutor.

Land transfer case ends with dismissal for lack of proof
The defence argued the accused and his wife signed a land transfer not in legal form and not properly describing the land under Saskatchewan law. An abstract showed another instrument registered, objected to as evidence and sustained by the court. No defence evidence was offered and the justice dismissed the case due to missing proof of transfer to the informant.

Adville District Court Opens Fall Term
The Adville District Court met at Pocketts Schurman Hall on Tuesday with Judge Wood presiding. Several small cases were dismissed at opening. The only rulings favored the defendants in two assault appeals after magistrates fined Jos Van De Sype and Otto Foseenkr. evidence showed trespass and justified force to remove intruders. Barristers J C Martin and H A Miller of Weyburn conducted the hearings.
