Through Trains Twice A Week On Grand Trunk Pacific

A through service twice weekly operates between Prince Rupert and Fort William on the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. Connections at Winnipeg link to St Paul and Chicago and onward to Eastern Ontario via the Grand Trunk system. Passengers from Massett on the Prince John benefit from direct through service with only changes at Prince Rupert and Winnipeg. Completion marks through service for now, with all-rail national transcontinental links still forthcoming.

Monster Turnip from Sewall Impresses Inlander Office

Claude Cornie delivered a 21 pound monster turnip 28 inches in circumference to the Inlander Office this morning. He said it was grown at Sewall on Mr. G Stockford's ranch where vegetables thrive, citing 186 potatoes from one hill and an 18 inch diameter pumpkin as proof of soil fertility. The turnip is displayed in the window for visitors to view.
