A two day Methodist church Sunday school anniversary at Pheasant Forks featured sermons by Amy and Loveridge, child recitations, and tea for scholars and teachers. Ladies provided tea and sweets, a public meeting followed with addresses and recitations, and J. W. Cooke reported improved attendance and a total over $14 including last year’s balance of $3.45.
Mr. U S Dickenson of Abernethy was brought to Wolseley and fined 20 dollars plus costs for starting a prairie fire. The trial occurred before Justices of the Peace Bray and Biden with witness fees forming most of the costs. The report lists extensive livestock, crops, and domestic manufactures exhibited at the Wolseley Agricultural Society event.
