Reports note a 23 inch wheat stalk and a 26 inch specimen on farms near Qu Appelle. Mares for sale replace cows. a meeting is set for the 28th at 2 PM. Police arrest Motow known as Gopher Tom. A picnic at the Methodist school is planned for July 15. The Rev Canon YMeam visits the Masonic Lodge. The opening of boating destinations draws locals with brass band and photographers leaving on the 26th for Port De Angate. Presbyterian Sunday School picnic scheduled south of the railway track with a procession to the ground and activities for all.
The annual Synod of the Diocese of Qu Appelle met at St Peters Cathedral on May 18 with Bishop presiding. Members Services examined credentials, discussed the Executive Committee report, church finances, clergy support, and Indian Mission work. A motion to form an Indian Mission Society was carried and a committee named to study education and church literature.
Delegates debated special offerings to the Diocese for Indian Missions and Clergy Widows and Orphans Funds. A vote of thanks was given to the CPR for support. The 40 acres grant to each mission was raised, and a social tea and choral service followed at St Peter's with thanks to the St Peter's Women's Guild for their hospitality.
Church notices list Sunday services at 8 8 and 12 o'clock with various Sunday school and Bible classes. A Wednesday eve prayer and choir practice are noted. Presbyterian and Roman Catholic services appear with times, plus Masonic and municipal council references.
