Amateur farmers enter a contest to promote bookkeeping, awarding prizes to top sets. Despite few submissions, judges commend progress and urge continued use of careful accounts to reveal profitable ventures, guide methods, and push farmers toward professional business practices.
A rare storm brought over three inches of rain in seven years, with hail reports from near Qu Appelle. The electric system endured a thunderbolt that damaged the town hall flag pole but caused no injuries. farther damage was noted south of town and near Indian Head. Farmers C E Butler and W McNeish suffered notable losses as hail and floods impacted the region.

Dr. Angus Campbell of Toronto eye ear and nose specialist at Toronto General Hospital traveled through Qu Appelle en route to the Yukon where he plans to undertake medical work. His brother in law Dr Henderson was briefly arrested in Qu Appelle during the visit.
