The North-West section reports a Monday meeting of the Indian Head Masonic Lodge with D. D. G. M. James Weidman visiting officially. A send off for Councillor Kirkland on the 29th featured a first class supper, with Bell as chair and Mr. M. as vice chair and toasts celebrated, including the guest of honor.
Moose Jaw Update and Local Fires and Growth
J E Annable returns to Moose Jaw and opens a store after a long absence. The Church of St John the Baptist's new dell is in place and the church nears completion. A fire at F Plante’s store caused little damage. Settler interest grows with many land entries and a buoyant mood ahead of spring. The Moose Jaw Agricultural Society elected E R Rothwell as president and named officers for the coming year.

The Assiniboia roller mills run day and night at about 120 barrels per 24 hours under Mr. J. Brigham. A boy named Garner from eight miles north of Wapella broke his leg when his horse stumbled and fell on him. A brass band meeting at Queen's Hotel elected L. D. Keown as President and appointed officers. directors James Stosh John Riddell and N. G. McCs discussed instrument allotments.
