The new Belcar ris Methodist church will be opened on the 13th inst. Rev. T Lawson of Qu Appelle will officiate at the ceremony.
A local committee from Edgley will cooperate with the Methodists of Qu Appelle to organize their anniversary and Christmas tree event. The Methodist missionary service led by Rev C Williams of Mw drew a large audience. Rev Lawson and Rev Williams spoke at Monday’s platform, and the gathering yielded successful results.
Rapid City Ripples notes the Premier’s success in securing more railroad facilities for the province and Hop Mr Norquay’s trip to New York to aid Northwest Central Railway construction. The Branden Mail reports Reid of Oak River nearly fatally injured when a wagon wheel captured his foot. he is recovering. Brandon despatch hints Beaty sold a million dollars in Northwest Central Railway stock and may begin construction soon. the project would benefit local farmers.
The Northwest Council meets November 18 to consider amendments to the 1884 Northwest Municipal Ordinance, with discussion of memorials to the Ottawa government. Later sessions cover prairie fire policing, county warrants, and draft replies while council members push for responsible government.
