South Qu'Apprelle Council Minutes Hidden Arbor Day Proposals
The South Qu'Appelle council met at the Queen's Hotel. Present were the Chairman and Councillors Craig, Thomson, Isa, and Garriett. Vestry Meeting At St Peter’s Qu Appelle Parish
The Annual Easter Vestry meeting of St Peter’s Qu Appelle Parish convened Monday with Rector Rev F W Pelly in the chair. Officials elected included Leslie Gordon as people’s warden and other vestrymen Jagger King Milne Osler Skinner Redpath, with a Diocesan Synod delegate chosen. The treasury shows building fund $26.21 and a $200 debt to the Diocesan Fund, plus a $39.85 deficit on veneer brick. Donations from abroad and local gifts funded church improvements including bell and bishop’s throne worth about $180. Landmarks include a chandelier lectern baptismal font and kneelers. His Lordship the bishop designates the church the Pro Cathedral of the Diocese. Gratitude expressed to William Henderson forExpert architectural guidance and gratuitous services. A committee was appointed to raise funds. $153 pledged with only fourteen names remain on the list. A motion provided $10 to Edwards and Dufton as slight recognition. six vestry members contributed toward the $200 Diocesan debt. The meeting adjourned with plans to publish further notices.
