Tragic Child Sets Fire Asleep After Candle Left Alight
A Golden Lane tradesman warned others after his about three year old child set fire to itself while the candle burned in the room. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames with little damage, but the incident served as a cautionary tale. Lord Mansfield and Lord Chief James Willes appointed Samuel Wett of Worcester as commissioner for special bail. Various church and civic notices follow. In Jamaica and Philadelphia, proclamations and notices related to militia enlistment and wages are noted.
