Nomination Meeting for City Parliament Candidates in London
A March 4 1764 Guildhall meeting of the Livery named Sir Richard Glynn Bart and Alderman Samuel Feayder Bart as candidates to represent London in Parliament with William Beckford and the Hon Thomas Harley. Delegates urged votes and support, praising George II and urging resistance to arbitrary rule, while Freeman Barlow Trecoithick thanked the body for past service.
