Royal licence granted for Faden's Public Ledger
Our lordship issues a royal licence to William Faden for printing publishing and circulating the Public Ledger after he undertook a costly and extensive compilation. The licence forbids reprints or abridgements by others and warns of penalties for contravention. Dated at St James on December 17 1759 in the 33rd year of the reign. W. Pitt covertly signs the order.
