London reports show Greece maintains delaying tactics despite Allied pressure. Athens hints at appointing Entente military experts to negotiate with its staff over prior demands, while Greece agrees to partial demobilization and withdraws troops from Saloniki to ease financial strain.
The Red Cross sale at Mrs Demers store shows strong home support for soldiers. Mrs Seymour Wright and Mrs Kirkpatrick thank Mrs Demers and helpers. Joe Scott Sr won the half ton coal donated by Pacific Transfer Co. The tug B C Boy cake went to Mrs Arnold. The camera by McRae Bros and a pillow by Mrs Frank Bowness will be drawn next week.

Montreal reports the Grand Trunk system won the gold medal and diploma at the Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco for its exhibit. The display highlighted Canada’s scenic, agricultural, and industrial resources with a moving picture hall and Dominion views. J C McNabb promoted to Vancouver as local agent. J I Peters advanced to local agent in charge at the point, with Clendenning retaining railway freight duties.
London dispatch reports hopes for a union of Serbian and Allied forces in southern Serbia via Greek rail lines. Bulgarian advances around Monastir slow. Serbians strengthen defense southwest of Prilep as Franco British led operations along the Vardar river continue. Russia reportedly massing 350000 troops near the Romanian frontier to threaten Bulgaria, contingent on Romania’s stance. A 50 cent Sunday chicken dinner at Royal Cafe appears in the edition.
The port recorded a total catch close to two million pounds in November dominated by halibut, with cod, flounders, and salmon contributing smaller amounts. At five cents a pound the landings valued at about $1 900 000, signaling a year round fishing activity and continued vessel upkeep to sustain full effort.
