Dock designer pleased with big work as Belgian orphans aid

W T Donnelly, designer of Prince Rupert's floating dock, visits to inspect the dock now completed and tested and expresses satisfaction with its lifting capacity and performance. He plans to observe ship building next. A separate report on berry prices shows 789 crates sold at $1,422.12 to producers and $199.34 in deductions, with average net price to producers 1.80 per crate and a late-season average of 1.54.

Supreme Court Sits With No Criminal Cases Placed

This week the Supreme Court sits in this city with Mr Justice Morrison presiding. No criminal cases are listed though civil matters are numerous including Mackay vs Canadian Fish and Cold Storage Co. damages for injuries at the plant and McEwen vs Abbott re mortgage interest on a $7 000 Baptist Church loan.

Dominion moves to curb high prices with council order

Government plans a broad order in council placing remedial control in federal hands and municipalities to fight rising costs of living.
