Pioneer fruit grower of Skeena visits city
David Stuart, noted Skeena River valley fruit pioneer, visited the city this week. He demonstrated practical orchard success with six to eight acres producing apples pears cherries plums and small fruits. He sells apples in the orchard for about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cents a pound to railway workers and sees Skeena as a future rich fruit region rivaling Okana gan and other western valleys.
