The barge Albatross of Midland sank in Georgian Bay off French River on Monday night. The tug C C Martin of Midland with Captain Vent towing the barge may have gone down with it. The eight crew aboard the tug and the barge’s passengers reached Bynge Inlet yesterday. Mrs Stitt left for Vancouver. W R Brock, Ottawa geological survey director, arrived in the city en route to the Hazelton district.
