Sir Wilfrid Laurier and party visited Prince Rupert amid hearty receptions. The Liberal leader stayed aboard the G T P steamer Prince George as vessels and launches ferried crowds to greet him. A flood of welcomes from Mayor Stork, the Daughters of the Empire, and local officials highlighted the port visit with speeches, addresses, and gifts marking Prince Rupert as a new Dominion hub.
