Adelaide reports the Central Council of Employers expresses concern over prolonged economic stagnation since four years ago. They urge early government relief from emergency taxes to allow hiring, propose revised youth training and apprenticeship systems, and seek wage schemes based on experience rather than age.
At the fortnightly meeting Dr. Cockburn pressed for correspondence on improving lighting facilities for the ore bins at Pirie Wharf.
