Obituary notes the death of Joseph Samuel Solomon aged ninety seven. He was a longtime member of the Wothevelic Hawtings Lab and resided on Mundie Street. Solomon reportedly served in Australia and was connected to regional bowls groups. his passing marks the end of a long sporting era.

Adelaide reports a 20 acre site at Dudley Park acquired for a chemical factory to be established by Beckers My. Cra. This will form a new Australian industry with its first activity to manufacture caffeine, a chemical formerly supplied by Molland and widely used in medicine.
