Sydney report describes one of the worst level crossing crashes in years near Liverpool at Warwick Farm. A car failed to stop at gates on a Sydney bound line and was struck by an electric train. Three occupants died and one man was seriously injured. the car's ownership is sought by police. The impact derailed the train’s first carriage.
Secret meetings in Sydney gathered mining electors urging declarations for Mr Willis or Mr Lang as the Bulli by election heats up. A mining group previously neutral will confer with the Miners Federation tomorrow, which may end neutrality. The federation today renewed its support for Mr. Willis.
In Melbourne on Tuesday the Victorian Attorney General filed in the High Court to stop the Commonwealth Clothing Factory from competing with private makers for government and municipal clothing supply. The action, brought under the Defence Act and Constitution, seeks to halt Commonwealth trade participation and protect local manufacturers.

Melbourne Tuesday Stewart the Minister of Commerce denied emphatically that British authorities were allowing the Argentine to exceed Ottawa quotes for beef imports. He rejected rumors of impropriety and stated no overshipment or miscalculation by British officials.
Exports from the Port of Melbourne during 4942 reached 4 558.98 tons, a record aside from 49419 when 1 687 41 tons were sent abroad, per Melbourne Horsor Trust. Total trade rose by 6 127a tons versus 1934, with shipping tonnage up 733 657, boosting revenue by £2 683. Pilfering from wharfs also declined notably.

A Port Pirie entertainment titled Nuts in May drew a large audience at the Pieke Town Mall. The revue featured the daily Jokers and Miss Nellie Meyrick, with spirited sketches, songs, dances, and a clever minstrel show. Proceeds aided the Port Pirie Unemployed Association.

Canberra reports a new £5,000,000 loan closed today with £2,600,000 excess demand. Sen Massy Greene, chair of the Loan Council, called the outcome magnificent and the most encouraging financial operation ever undertaken in Australia, noting the loan was not underwritten.
The Little Entente of Australian states meets in unofficial session before the Loan Council and Premiers Conference in Melbourne. Western Australia South Australia and Tasmania will join a separate gathering arranged by South Australia’s Premier to present a united front at the national talks. An elderly Rosewater couple, Mr and Mrs Timothy Mahoney of Gray Terrace, lost their pounds 201 10 shillings in a muddy drain yesterday. Mrs Mahoney recovered the money today at sunrise after a search with Constable Marshall, about 7:30 pm yesterday Mr Mahoney set out for Port Adelaide. He carried a 100 pound note and several others wrapped in brown paper.

Melbourne Thisday reports Victor House, a farm hand, testified in City Court that Eric Roy Coxell of East Melbourne borrowed cash and pawned his clothes to help him. Coxell faced imposition charges, claiming he had to meet heavy lawyers in a divorce suit. House was granted rent for a year.
