Alfred Patrick Ball aged 48, a carter, was found not guilty by the Central Criminal Court on the ground of insanity for the murder of Catherine Johannah Sims at Erskineville on March 16. Mr Justice Halse Rogers ordered he be kept in strict custody until the Governor’s pleasure.
