The Anglican Church standing committee urges Port Pirie acting rector Canon Dunn to restore EB Francis to the parish roll and counteract ill effects from his earlier ban. Dr G T Turner examined the body and found a corrosive poison odor. Cause of death was poisoning with a corrosive chemical. Carl Fran Heyne nurseryman East Parade Kensington testified his daughter had worked for a Mrs Amey about three months. She complained of side pain on April 27 and a bad headache on April 28. Her health was not good but she was cheerful and well liked.

Archbishop Mannix celebrated pontifical high mass at St Patrick cathedral before the coffin lay in state at Parliament House and then the cortege proceeded to the cemetery.
