Mus B. 5. Plummer, a nursing sister from gland, joined the Pirie Hospital staff and will marry shortly. Mr HK. Prost, secretary of Pointing Industry Employes Union, will arrive in Pirie today and return to the city on Thursday.

Ellis Russell Jessner daughter of Mr and Mrs W Russell of Jervois street Torrensville and Max Ellis son of Mr and Mrs L Ellis of Geddes road Solomontown were married in a city ceremony. Best man was Mr Ross Jarvis. The bride's mother wore grey and Mrs Ellis wore a floral frock. Afterward about 60 relatives and friends were entertained at the bride's parents home. The couple will reside at Jervois street Torrensville. Mr and Mrs Ellis and Miss T Walker attended from Pirie.

At Kingston Park the Pirie Golf Club held a farewell for Mrs. Bo Hopkins of Adelaide after Bay' associates day. Mrs. A. C. Ball decorated the clubhouse, and RD Hamill spoke, presenting a small token. Mrs Geddes won the Silver Spoon with a 96 stroke round.
