Delegates from Heffron Lang and Labor factions met at an inter state Labor Party conference in New South Wales. The Heffron group was admitted to present its case. A long debate was expected with a decision due tomorrow night at the earliest. The Lang Party’s proposed terms for negotiation were disclosed, proposing that the Lang Party name a first choice and the Heffron or related factions align accordingly. The conference was adjourned until tomorrow.

No Badge Sale for Kuitpo Denied by Pirie Council

Pirie Council refused a request from Rev S Forsyth to permit a street badge sale in Kuitpo Colony. Ald Davis moved that Forsyth be informed the council cannot grant the request as limits on street collections were already set and adding Kuitpo would require reopening existing permissions. Threadgold noted Forsyth’s courteous visit and that limited collection days remain 10 to 12 yearly, with a chance if a current collector drops out.
