Walter George Lewis aged 48 died at Hlulden's Woodville motor body builders works when a large flywheel crushed him after he slipped into a trench while assisting to turn the air compression plant. He left a widow and two young children. Lewis was brother to William E. Lewis of People's Stores Gouger street.
