Reduction of Alcohol Use by Sydney Hospital Urges Prohibition
At the Sydney Hospital annual subscribers meeting Mr C L Garland hon treasurer notes a fall in medicinal use of alcoholic stimulants from £110 in 1946 to £55 last year. He links hospital demand to community drinking habits and urges legislators to prohibit manufacture and sale of intoxicating liquor during the war.
