In London foreign ambassadors listen as Mr Eden tells the House of Commons the German action in the Whitenland amounts to unilateral repudiation of the Versailles treaty. He says Britain seeks collective security and notes Germany is willing to return to the League under negotiation.

A masked intruder raided Steve Cassadin,Greengrocer of Hindley Street, beating him with a revolver or torch and forcing £5 8s 4d from a shop till. He used a woollen pullover to conceal fingerprints and warned of Black Gang revenge before fleeing. Cassadin recovered after 24 hours and gave a description to Detective Curtis.

The caucus also urged a probe into the 40-hour week and criticized the Government for delaying a committee report.
South Australian surveyors report the Redhill-Pike line three quarters of a mile from Solomontown, with two field parties advancing from Redhill and Pirie. Bridges on Broughton and Rocky Rivers, earthwork planned, construction by contractors to begin after surveys finish by month end.

The report records revenue of £14,226,100 and expenditure of £2,993,783, a deficit with a corresponding period shortage of £4,450,808. Expenditure increased by £199,17K while revenue rose by only £608,823. Despite some improvement, the overall shortage remained substantial in the period.
