Britain seizes more German coal bound for Italy while rumors say Italy concentrates its fleet. The Queen Elizabeth crosses the Atlantic and may be near New York. A German night raid bombs a British lightship and coastal steamers. Russia allegedly offers peace to Finland with territory cession as a condition.
London dispatch cites Stockholm sources on possible armistice within days. Melbourne reports Major Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Blamey will have full command of the Australian Army Corps.
