Napperby dog attack case ends with calf damage ruling

In Pirie Local Court farmer Clarence arand Plenty sued Napperby gardener Michael Vella over dogs attacking cattle and sheep. Judge Coventry found insufficient proof the dogs caused the sheep injuries, but confirmed three calves were damaged and fined Vella £2 with £210 damages plus costs. Evidence described mauling of multiple sheep and calves, witness accounts of dogs at large, and extensive searching for missing sheep.
