Faith in Australia completes record Australia to Singapore flight

Flight Lieut Ulm and two companions set a new longest hop on the Australia England route by flying 1850 miles in 164 hours aboard the Faith in Australia. They departed Derby Western Australia at midnight Friday, landed in Singapore Saturday afternoon, with 2500 miles covered. The monoplane, capable of 126 mph, 405 mph cruising, faced overcast skies near Timor. The party, including experienced pilot Allen, plans to press toward England as weather permits amid aerodrome stops across Australia to England.
