About 12 30 this morning the joinery shop of Mr P H Egagar on Sixth Ave St Peters was gutted by fire. Firemen faced trouble as the nearest fire plug was a quarter mile away and by the time hoses reached the scene the blaze had a firm hold. The shop, only partly insured, was destroyed.
