Andrew John Lauritsen aged 54 was found dead in his room at Florence Street Pirie. Death attributed to heart failure. He leaves five sons and a daughter. He worked as a blacksmith. The remains were buried yesterday in the Catholic section of Pre Cemetery.

An official of Pine Branch of Souls Australian Gas Company said yesterday there seemed to be no likelihood at present of any alteration in the restriction on gas supplies between 7 p m and 7 a m. Owing to poor quality coal the measure was adopted this week to permit night accumulation of gas for daytime supply.

Training Begins For City Match Pirie Team

Twenty one of the thirty Pirie footballers were chosen to train for the Pirie Whyalla match at Adelaide Oval on August 7. Busy time ahead for Pirie cyclists

Pirie cyclists prepare for a string of fixtures over the coming months.
