On Sunday in Adelaide thousands of commuters faced delays when the 5 30 Henley Beach service failed at Bowden Station on Saturday night. Eight trains were held up and the down service waited 28 minutes while the up service endured a 1 hour 6 minute pause before a relief engine moved the disabled train and restored traffic flow.
Under the Amending Early Closing Act of 1923 shopkeepers in the metropolitan area must register their shops before the end of July.
