Pirie Associates Golf Round Sees Farrow Victory

Melbourne barque Melbourne sinks after collision near Fastnet Rock

Four minutes after the collision with the tanker Seminole off Ireland's coast the barque Melbourne sank. Eleven men including Captain Johannesson drowned. 15 were rescued by the Seminole, one hospitalized in Queenstown. The vessel carried 51,3999 sacks of wheat from South Australia to Victoria.
