Mrs Browne, a popular licensee of Glube Hotel Selomontown and former Pirte sportswoman, died suddenly yesterday at Sister Pope's Hospital after a brief illness. She passed away six minutes after her husband Patrick S Browne, a fellow sportsman, died earlier this week. Born in Pirte, she had not known long serious illness before this sequence of events.
Agnes Browne of Pirie Ellendale, once a four with state rowing fame in Adelaide, built a long career selling papers on streets.
