Melbourne general election fixed for Saturday March 2 by the Victorian Cabinet. Lilian Veitch, eight, cut her toe stepping on glass while playing near Palmer Street Pirie West.
A fire early today destroyed the Morialta Kiosk on 50 acres of timbered hillside behind the structure. An official from the Tourist Bureau noted no signs of ore when an employee passed earlier, but by 5 am the kiosk was a smouldering ruin with damage estimated at £230.
