Sydney Sunday report of George Seldon a 45 year old station master in Dapto who attacked his wife with an axe smashing her skull. Their son aged 11 was wounded and hospitalized in serious condition. Seldon, described as demented, surrendered to authorities after the act and claimed to have killed his wife out of love.
Detectives arrested Reginald Frederick Woodley aged 19 a laborer native of England last night at Strathfield while driving an ice cart. He is charged with the murder of Cecil Baker at Yagoona railway station last Monday night after a five day police search. He reportedly made a statement to the police.
