Patchy rain drenched Pirie with Risdon Park and Pirie West hardest hit. Floodwaters reached Gladstone from Sargent's dam isolating the Gladstone Hotel. Snowtown suffered hundreds of pounds in damage as debris clogged roads and washaways created lakes on routes described by Pirie motorists.
A rush of water about 9 inches deep sweeps through the Texas Oil Company's yard and streets near Gladstone Hotel road Port and Mill. Water also floods Bask Motel area while Gladstone sees over seven inches rainfall north of town. Residents hope repairs prevent further eastern flooding.
