The British foreign secretary states the United States will supply essential imports to Germany for a period from November 1, 1947, to December 11, 1948. The agreement aims to fund occupation costs with 256 million dollars set aside for next year.
In London Reuters cites 24 Russian citizens deported from France on November 25 who wrote to Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov denying involvement in French affairs. They accuse secret political police of cavalier conduct in some cases. In New York Riggs beat Pails in a workout ahead of the Madison Square Garden match on December 26, with Pails displaying notable speed and power.
A waterside worker claims 750 pounds arising from a collision involving two motor vehicles and a bicycle on Solomontown road on March 28. He sues Agnew of Pirie West and Birrell of own for 750 pounds, with Mr EB McLaugh watching Birrells Interests.

Turnbull warned of Labour majority only by one and noted health and party funds concerns. Cosgrove said he resigns for the Premiership and Legislature’s best interests and claimed innocence.

The Solomontown Guides and Brownies held a Christmas party with singing of favorites, solos by Pauline Lied, and games whose winners received gifts. Festive treats included iced raspberry, fruit plates, and Christmas bon-bons. Dawn Williams celebrated her fourteenth birthday during the event, with mothers attending and thanks voiced by Myra and Miss Rita.

Following a suggestion from Mr Allen of Unley Rotary Club Pirie Town Council will hold a public meeting to decide if sites could be provided for clubhouses for retired men. A letter from Mr Allen said Unley Corporation had offered land in that district and had obtained ARE huts and furnished them.
