The miners vote shows 143,174 in favor of a strike postponement, 4,240 against, with 38,809 in favor of a different action and 2,788 against. Derbyshire miners approve strike, 28,452 favor it, 118% oppose continuing. The ballot’s majority clears the path for a general strike, to be debated by the leaders next Tuesday.
